Science Course for Students

Gr. 8

Instructor:

Caroline Ge

Hi everybody! I’m Caroline, and I’m currently starting my first year of high school. I have won awards in international piano competitions and firmly believe that music and art can tell stories even better than words. However, I do love expressing my crazy thoughts through poetry as well. I have also received certificates for the Waterloo Gauss contest, awards in speech competitions, and I take pride in the many math contests and trivia tournaments I have participated in.

Sandy Zhao

Hello everyone! I’m Sandy and I am starting my first year of high school this fall. Biology is my favorite subject, it has always fascinated me and I hope that through this course, it will fascinate you too! The way our body operates is truly a phenomenon, all of the cells that make up our body systems perform together to keep you alive. In this two lesson course, I will be going over grade 8 biology from the fundamental unit of life to an organism as a whole. I am very excited to share my passion for biology with all of you!

Max Song

Hi everyone! I’m Max and I’m starting my first year of high school at Western Canada this year. I take pride in my debate and public speaking skills, as I have won many awards. I believe that if you have a good communicator as a teacher, and you put in work, you will succeed. In my free time, I love playing basketball, as well as swimming, winning many provincial competitions for all of the above. On the academic side, I love doing math, placing top 5 in the Pascal Math contest. I also love learning about science, and how our world actually functions. I will be teaching the fresh and saltwater systems portion of this club, and I really hope to get to know everyone better!
