Catherine
Hey, I’m Catherine! I am a Grade 12 full IB student at Western Canada High School, and I am currently taking English Literature HL. Language Arts has always been one of my favourite subjects, and I especially enjoy reading novels. I am really looking forward to being able to work with you, and help you to develop and improve your skills. Having taken the corresponding courses myself, I am well acquainted with both the English IB curriculum, as well as the Alberta High School English curriculum. I believe that it is very important to have a good grasp on and understanding of the basics of English, as they essentially make up the foundation for all the concepts to come, much like in Math or Science. So, I hope I can help you build up your confidence and proficiency in English, and that you are able to continue to use and apply the skills you learned here in your future endeavors!

Caroline
Hello, my name is Caroline. I am a Grade 12 partial IB student at Western Canada High School. I have enjoyed reading since I was a young child and it has been very fruitful in the building of my English foundation.
English is well-known for being an international language where most countries speak nowadays. Chances are wherever you go, there will be at least one person who speaks English. While it is not awful to be bad at English, it is alarming to be content with bad English. By broadening your English skills, you can open doors to different opportunities. Although English may seem simple, it is much more challenging than it appears. Therefore, it is my role to guide you and share my experiences with you.
