Basics to Biodiversity – Grades 8 & 9

Instructor: Isha Goyal

Hi, my name is Isha, and I am going into grade 10 next year at Renert School. I have a strong interest in biology, particularly genetics, which I exercise through my participation and excellence in the CYSF, CWSF and iGEM. I’ve been teaching summer courses at Inthinking for two years, and I am so excited to teach you about biodiversity! The nature of biological information, an evolution which brought diversity to our planet, the self-organization of biological systems and the engineering of “living machines” are what make science such a wonder for me, and I hope to explore this field with you! Aside from the sciences, I’m quite a trivia fan as well, competing in Canada’s team trivia competition, “Reach for the Top,” where my teams have succeeded at provincial and national levels. In my classes, I hope to interact with students as we learn all about the sciences in a comprehensive and enjoyable way! Hope to see you there 🙂
